So I think I’ve found THE basketball shoe. Well at least one that I really like – The Nike Sharkley – it gives me really good ankle support (those who know me know that I essentially broke my ankle last Fall and was on crutches for over a month). Also, these are pretty stylin’ (I think) – if they’re good enough for Ty Lawson to wear in the NCAA Championship, they’re good enough for me.

Also, although I would have happily paid full price for these bad boys, I stumbled across two pairs in different places, for UNDER 50 bucks. Wow. The outdoor kicks I got at Footlocker at University Mall – they were trying to get rid of the last of their stock – and luckily, they had one pair left in my size. The beautiful indoor pair I found at Rugged Warehouse in Durham – total lucky find for…(you’re gonna hate me for this one) $40 bucks! yeaaah. So I got two pairs of sweet basketball shoes for the price I should’ve paid for one!

Oh. and if you wanna see the bottoms of these shoes – just come ball with me…I’d be happy to show them to you ;)   In fact, I’ve finally accomplished my goal of dunking. And not some lame lay-up while pulling down the rim – I’m talking the only thing that touched the rim was my hand after I threw it in. I’ll probably write an entire post on this for the simple fact that being able to truly dunk has always been on my to-do list. Look out for that one.

About to go meet the fam for pizza at IP3 – it IS Friday, afterall. Catch you on the flip side…

I know this is a dated post, but thought I’d use this space to put up some photos taken while vacationing in New York City a few months ago. Word.

Things are gonna change soon…y’all ready?

Graduation

I graduated from UNC last weekend with a major in Political Science and a minor in City and Regional Planning. The speaker for the 2009 Commencement was Archbishop Desmond Tutu – a brilliantly vibrant and humorous man. My family and friends made the weekend a very memorable one. All I wanna say on the subject is ‘yeah!’ yadig?
